Throug the Tunnel

Setting
The story was played during summer. it was played at the beach and in the sea where Jerry and the mother use to go. It was also played at a villa where the two stayed.

Plot
A boy of the name Jerry and his mother went to a holiday as said in "Through the Tunnel" by Dorris Lessing. They stayed at a villa close to the sea. Jerry and his mom would go to the beach almost everyday together. The mother did not want the son to feel overprotected as she was always with him. She then allowed him to go swimming alone at a different beach where he met some boys. The boys swim through a tunnel under a rock and he badly wanted to try this ot too. The challenge was that he could not stay under water for long. This will not enable him to swim throuhg the long tunnel. The holiday  was going to end soon and he wanted to do ti before that. He started training himself and he was experiencing nose bleeds and getting dizzy. This scared him but he still went ahead. The day arrived, he was so afraid of not making it and drowning but he made it. He was exhausted and went straight home to rest.

Main Character
Jerry was the main character of the story.  He was an English boy. Jerry was just even years old. His father was dead so he he lived with his mother. He was a very good swimmer and loved the sea. He didn't give up easily on what he wanted to do.
